Creative Teaching Assistant
- Surrey, Southwest London
- Specialist SEN school dedicated to supporting children with ASC, Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Earn up to £450 PAYE per week – Depending on experience

Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with a prestigious and friendly school based in Surrey that is located in Guilford that is looking for people who want to kickstart their career in SEN or develop their knowledge and be supported by a dedicated team. In this role you will have the opportunity to progress into Lead TA and/or Teacher
The school –
- Purpose-built building that caters to up to 150 aged 2-19 that is looking to expand
- Working hours of 8:55 am to 3:30 Monday to Thursday and 4:30 pm finish on Friday
- A specialist SEN school that supports children with Autism, Complex needs, Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Outstanding facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor learning space, library, sensory room, sports hall, soft play and much more
- You will be working within a school that has a team of dedicated professionals such as Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, Senior Leaders, SEN teachers and many more
- This school provides special training to help every develop and broaden their knowledge, such as Attention Autism, PECS, Makaton, Intensive interaction and more!
What you can expect as a creative TA –
- Expect to be working in a creative environment where the curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of the children
- Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils, with up to 5 TAs in a class as well
- Use various strategies to communicate with children, such as picture cards, sign language, Makaton and more
- Be surrounded by friendly and supportive staff that can guide you through and help you with progression into your career
- As a Creative Teaching Assistant, you can expect to use art, dance, drama and more into the day when interacting with the children
The ideal Creative Teaching Assistant –
- The ideal Creative Teaching Assistant must have a bubbly and can-do attitude
- This is an ideal role for anyone who has just got out of university and wants to kickstart their career or even learn something new; they just must have the right attitude!
- You must be proactive and willing to get stuck in
- The Creative Teaching Assistant must have good communication skills
- Must be able to build strong and meaningful relationships with pupils and staff
- For this role, the Creative Teaching Assistant must be confident in supporting children with Personal care as a required for this role
