As the Karen Millen Production Coordinator with direction from the Studio and Creative Production Manager you will be responsible for producing and coordinating high quality and on-brand imagery for Karen Millen across all of our creative shoots and the online gallery. You are positive, proactive and solutions-focused. A keen eye for detail and quality is a must. You are highly organised, able to keep up the pace, and remain calm under pressure. You have a good sense of commercial awareness and a strong understanding of the fashion and photographic industry.

What you’ll be doing

  • Based in our busy studio, reporting into our Studio and Creative Production Manager you will be responsible for all Karen Millen creative productions from big campaigns, content shoots, ad-hoc still life shoots or a street style influencer shoots.
  • Working alongside the Studio team to schedule the in house studio, booking in shoot days and freelance talent.
  • Organising the creative shoot timeline and tracking the shoot budgets
  • Running the production for creative shoots, location scouting, tech recces, carnets, prop sourcing, catering shoot schedules, call sheets and other general shoot logistics.
  • Supporting the Studio and Creative Production Manager to manage the flow of stock through studio ready for both ecommerce and creative shoots.
  • Updating the Karen Millen model board, running weekly castings and keeping up to date with current models.
  • Briefing freelancer’s pre shoot, HMU briefs, shoot rail for freelance stylists etc.
  • Attending all of your shoots showing an upbeat and supporting presence on set delivering a real passion for creating a high standard of assets
  • Ensure the upkeep of the studio is maintained, support in ordering photography equipment, props, any other equipment where needed for the studio
  • Ensure the budget tracker is kept up to date and studio and shoot costs are logged, PO’s raised and invoices submitted to ensure suppliers are paid on time
  • Build and update the London Studio book of contacts, including agencies, locations, catering & studios; building strong relationships with external suppliers.
  • Support the Studio and Creative Production Manager on ensuring shoots are produced on brand and of the highest quality, ensuring we keep to budget.
  • Building strong relationships with all in house studio creative and marketing teams.
  • Adapting to last minute requests or changes.
  • Working towards your personal KPI’s.
  • Working on additional projects when necessary.
  • Liaise with the Studio and Creative Production Manager, creative team and marketing team to achieve and align the studio goals.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a professional presence in around the studio and on external shoots.
  • Working closely as part of the studio team and supporting one another.

More about you

  • A high level understanding of how a photography studio works e.g. shoot process, scheduling.
  • Experience in photography and video production
  • Demonstrate exceptional planning and organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail.
  • PC and Mac literate with excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Keen interest and experience within Production, Production assisting, Fashion shoots, Castings and Location Scouting
