As the Senior Creative Producer for Sonder's Photo Operations team, you'll lead production for our global portfolio, working closely with Brand, Marketing, Interior Design, and Market Operations to elevate our visual identity. Your primary objective will be to create visual assets that consistently support our brand values and identity. Our images should establish and reinforce who we are across digital platforms, user experiences and visual mediums. You will play a critical role in helping set the vision for our creative strategy and brand standards, define our production and post-production processes, and manage a global team. AT SONDER YOU WILL:
- Help set the vision for Sonder's creative and content strategy as it relates to photography and online merchandising of our product, working closely with Brand to ensure all content meets brand standards
- Lead creative production for global Photo Operations; manage regional producers and our pre/post-production team
- Develop and update brand standard shot lists in partnership with Brand & eCommerce leaders to optimize our online performance
- Determine scalable production models needed to execute shoots on-time, on-budget, and on-brand for rapidly growing global portfolio
- Manage quarterly production calendars, oversee budgets, and create sourcing plans for photographers and talent as needed
- Collaborate with Photo Operations on the development of playbooks, processes, and initiatives to launch production in new markets and continuously improve in existing markets
- Collaborate with Brand team to leverage customer insights and develop concepts that drive brand vision through visual merchandising
- Manage third party vendor relationships; negotiate terms and rates and provide critical feedback on production estimates and bids
- Mentor creative leads through review and approval of briefs, set schedules, develop shot lists, review assets, and deliver selects to post-production
- In collaboration with Photo Operations Manager define our post-production standards and processes and develop digital asset management strategy
- Steward innovation with an eye on design, technology, merchandising, and brand development trends
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team with a culture of accountability and innovation
- Identify and build out new functions to scale the team, whether it be hiring in-house or partnering with contractors or agencies.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Bachelor's degree in Photography, Arts, Visual Merchandising or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of photography production experience, in-house or creative agency
- Experience leading architectural, lifestyle, and/or hospitality photography production both inside and outside the US
- Detailed understanding of all production processes including planning, budgeting, managing timelines, pre- and post-production, talent and IP rights, digital asset management
- Robust experience hiring and managing external production partners as well as internal creative and production teams throughout the production process
- Strong leadership and management skills; ability to scale and grow a successful team
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities; ability to move projects forward with a sense of urgency
- Expertise in process improvement and identifying opportunities to create sustainable and scalable solutions across a diverse range of projects
- Collaborative, team-first mindset
- Online portfolio required
Preferred:
- Online visual merchandising experience strongly preferred
- Fluent in G Suite products (Google Slides, Google Sheets)
- Experience with tech communication platforms a plus (Asana, Slack)
- Start-up experience a plus
