Locaria is a pioneering global multilingual content production, creative adaptation and marketing activation agency. We specialise in supporting in-house brand marketing and e-commerce teams, media agencies and creative production houses. We build solutions to scale content and campaigns internationally, carefully balancing cost, creativity, cultural nuance and quality, and using technology to drive efficiency.

The role
We are currently seeking an Art Director to partner with artists, writers and marketers to develop content for our brand portfolio through all touch points. A successful Art Director must have a proficient level of understanding and functional capability in software designed for creation of graphics and designs from scratch, ability to edit and manipulate creative, and will be responsible for the development and creation of production ready graphics.
This person must have a strong background in design & creative direction (brand agency or in-house brand art/creative team) with a strong, focused experience in Graphic Design, Creative Work and Brand Identities. This person also should be a highly strategic thinker with a proven track record for leading efforts to execute across: digital, print, POS, OOH, social media, and motion. This person must be comfortable guiding teams: copywriters, art, 3D, freelancers, and partner with the account team, but should be willing to roll up the sleeves to do the design work itself.

Requirements:

  • Guide the creative development and execution for brand strategy, identity, voice, and messaging across all aspects of the brand experience including all channels and media vehicles
  • Work in the conception of creative audiovisual ideas based on the objectives to be communicated.
  • Have a strong POV and creative vision along with a clear, concise ability to provide direction to internal team.
  • Develop original breakthrough ideas, graphic and concept designs for a variety of touch-points across digital, social, print, POS, OOH, and motion.
  • Sketch, ideate, and generate new concepts quickly based on stakeholder direction and self-driven research.
  • Lead, inspire, enable, energize, and manage a group of world-class art and creative team.
  • Create and sustain a culture of excellence as a beloved leader of the content in-house team.
  • Articulate and pitch creative concepts to peers and senior management.
  • Determine how best to represent a brand concept visually, specifically regarding art / graphic design.
  • Be a brand guarding, following brand guidelines closely.
  • Detail oriented, with an ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay organized while responding to last minute requests and adapt to changes on business and cultural trends.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • 6+ years’ experience in a creative, art direction or marketing role at consumer brand or creative agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field (interactive design, graphic design, visual arts, communication, advertising, etc.)
  • 3+ years’ experience leading diverse creative teams through fast-paced, conceptual and strategic design and production work.
  • Language proficiency both in English and Spanish is a must for this role (FLUENT ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE COMPULSORY).
  • Demonstrable fluency with Adobe CC suite of products, including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of social aspect ratios and delivery filetypes.
  • An online portfolio showing a variety of digitial, multi-platform, standout work is a MUST.
  • Experience with creative teams in agency or in-house agency environments; CPG Experience is a must fo this role.
  • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules and work independently with little direction.
  • Presentation skills and proven ability to influence creative decision making.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint and Project Management Tools
