About the role:

At FDM, we run as an in-house creative agency and are searching for a dynamic and energetic Head of Creative to manage our global creative team, develop and lead creative projects, generate engaging, commercially effective, and aspirational designs for B2C and B2B markets and be a key part of our exciting Brand Project.

You’ll be working across branding, design, photography and videography direction for our internal and external comms. Being in-house, you’ll have to thrive in a busy, sociable environment, working and communicating directly with teams at all levels across the business.

We’re looking for an experienced manager of people, someone who can inspire others while taking our creative output to a new level as we continue to grow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct, lead and motivate team of designers, creative copywriters and video production specialists to help them use their talents effectively
  • Supporting the creative direction and business strategy
  • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas
  • Overseeing the work of the global creative team, reviewing and approving art and copy developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address marketing goals and challenges effectively. You will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (whilst our Marketing Director is on maternity leave) and communicating with internal teams to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion
  • Working with the global marketing team to develop designs, visuals and video content for all our audiences with creative campaigns, brand story-telling, and social assets. Oversee the design development and artwork to deliver cohesive, commercial and inspiring creative
  • Play a key role in FDM’s brand project rollout and the redesign of FDM’s website redesign project
  • Direction and approval of all global assets
  • Direction of imagery for customer emails and websites. Coach our wider teams to deliver on-brand work across all forms of visuals and messaging.
  • Design direction of customer comms and promotional materials in our career fairs, B2B events, and pitch decks
  • Support the internal teams with photography and design requirements.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print
  • Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives
  • Excellent understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Experience of in-house production (creative studio)
  • Be able to think strategically and rationalise your ideas for commercial strategies
  • Confident in presenting creative work to the senior and executive team, be able to write your ideas persuasively
  • Be able to project manage your own work and support the designers with their progress
  • Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives
  • You’ll be a coach and mentor to the other designers, keen to share ideas and knowledge
  • Work with other creative suppliers and producers such as photographers, stylists, illustrators, animators, video editors etc. to deliver projects
  • Hand-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development
