We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially aware Creative Designer to join our Studio Design team at our Liverpool Head Office.
You will work closely with the Design Manager and Buyers to produce print and pattern, commercial homeware trends, packaging style guides, and product design from hard to textile.
The successful candidate will have a strong visual eye and be able to deliver and create mood boards developed through proactive research and identification of key trends. You will be passionate about design and have a keen interest in materials, colours, manufacturing and printing processes.
You will have the opportunity to attend trade shows with the team, travel to Europe to gather trend research and work in a large creative team within an exciting and fast paced environment.
Job Overview- Support Buying and Graphics teams in the design and production of packaging to ensure a cohesive look in stores
- Create range styles
- Create mood boards as well as full range plans for buyers to view
- Research, identify and inform of fashion trends, across all consumer demographics, for the purpose of crafting original design and assets for use on consumer products
- Present artwork in an exciting and interesting manner
- Review all pre-production submissions, referring to original comments made, ensuring all requested changes have been implemented and the finished quality of the product is of a high standard
- Ensure the smooth running of the approval process, and continually identifying where improvements in process and communication can be made
- Mentor Junior Designers
- Maintenance of confidentiality of information in compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including the development and maintenance of information management and record-keeping systems related to areas of responsibility
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and practices
- Other duties in accordance with role and within remit of skill base
- Minimum 2:2 degree
- Excellent design skills
- Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge and experience in trend research
- Experience of using Microsoft Office including, Word Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
- Experience of working in a team
- Understanding of print and manufacturing processes and limitations
- Experience of designing and artworking packaging is advantageous although not essential in design or equivalent

Package- Competitive salary - DOE
- 9 months fixed term contract
