Role purpose:
Vodafone UK is looking for a Social Creative Content Manager / Producer to strengthen our in-house external communications team across Vodafone UK corporate social channels (Twitter, LinkedIn) with the aim of increasing visibility for our corporate brand and point of view.
We are looking for a someone with a strong social content background and proven record in producing engaging content across social media platforms. You will work alongside the external comms team to produce content that brings to life the stories and campaigns being developed by the function on our social channels. We are a purpose-led business and much of the content will relate to our core purpose pillars, Digital Society, Inclusion for All and Planet.
This is a fast-paced team, you will need to develop cross-platform activation of core ideas to create social-first content primarily for our corporate channels, Twitter, Linked In, our newscentre. You will be required to work with the paid social team, to manage the social spend across our platforms.
We are looking for a team player, who can work in a newsroom style environment – staying on top of trends, best social practice, breaking stories and develop ideas and turn around content, often with short deadlines. Some of the work will be planned as part of campaigns from across our department, which includes Government Affairs, Regulatory and Sustainable Business, creating social assets that can not only be used on our channels, but also be used by stakeholders who are willing to lend support to our causes. You’ll need creative ideation, great copywriting skills and know how to engage audiences on social. Some will be reactive and ad hoc. You’ll be comfortable going to corporate events such as roundtables and conferences, creating relevant social content, either at the event itself or afterwards.
What you’ll do
- Working with the wider team to create cross platform activations across various workstreams. Shaping the strategic activations and response to briefs to create owned content ideas and wider social campaign activations.
- Develop these responses into strong, audience-facing, videos/statics across our digital and social platforms or for use in earned media.
- Be responsible for the social content calendar supporting campaigns and calendar moments.
- Ensure Vodafone’s reputation is managed, guarded and enhanced through social media interactions – communicate positive stories from right across the business on anything that is reputation enhancing
- Ensure all social channels are always delivering to the social media content strategy and the impact of our social media activities are measured consistently to ensure success and communicated to key stakeholders
- You’re able to work independently across multiple projects at different stages including; concept development, scripting and feeding into the edit.
- You’ll enjoy working in a team– sharing ideas and working together to make the best content.
- Collate learnings, study the data behind our content, to work out what worked and what could be done better, to apply to concepts and inform edits.
Who you'll be;
Experience within a highly rated (social, creative or media) agency or an in-house social media department.- Experience as a Video / Development / Creative Producer and a track record of hands-on creation of strong, social campaigns and formats
- Proven track record of growing user interaction across social platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms is essential and maintain knowledge as platforms evolve and new platforms develop. Excellent knowledge of creative and media best practices across social platforms, including trends and opportunities
- You will be able to demonstrate superb planning skills, and the ability to manage several projects at one time. You’ll know how to prioritise your workload and deliver to a deadline.
- Able to set and drive own agenda and work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management when working with variety of stakeholders across the department
- Willingness to travel within the UK if required.
