What you'll be doing
Were looking for an experienced, innovative and highly motivated Creative and Social Media Executive who will play a big part in On the Beachs exciting journey to national acclaim on social media and across our marketing comms. Working within the social and PR team, youll be pivotal in helping to make us the UKs most talked about holiday brand.
In this role you will help to continuously develop social media strategy, with a focus on driving audience reach, deepening engagement and generating conversation around the On the Beach brand. You will also have responsibility for working to devise the organic social content plan and creating a wide range of content and assets for all marketing channels in On the Beachs distinct tone of voice.
This role provides a real opportunity to have an impact on campaigns - and content creation - that work for social media as well as more widely across the marketing mix. Aligning closely with the PR function, youll take a cohesive approach to driving brand conversations, engagement and fame.
Youll be a guru on social media and popular culture, being across the latest trends, staying up to date with the changing best practice and latest platform developments, testing out innovative ideas, advising on new channels and identifying influencer opportunities. The salary for this role is up to £26,000.
As a Creative and Social Media Executive at On the Beach, your responsibilities will include:
- Follow and develop the social media cross-channel strategy, ensuring it's aligned with the wider Marketing department strategic objectives to drive brand impact and fame
- Oversee the planning, production and delivery of content, liaising with the Brand team to ensure content is on-brand and adheres to On the Beachs distinct tone of voice
- Regular communication with stakeholders across the business and in the marketing department
- Use the Adobe Suite to create video and image for social, CRM and web
- Identify reactive, topical news-jacking opportunities that keep the brand relevant and deliver on them
- Optimise our current channels with relevant content that could also work across other facets of the marketing department
- Provide PR support and work with the PR agency where needed to help achieve maximum digital impact and share of PR campaign activity
- Identify opportunities to work with influencers to plan collaborative content and reporting
You'll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience
- We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, and a proven track record in creating impactful content. Youll be a creative and skilful storyteller, with outstanding communication skills and attention to detail, and a real team player
- Some experience in or understanding of PR would be advantageous as we aim for social media and PR to work hand-in-hand in driving brand fame
- Whilst a degree education or equivalent level qualification would be desirable, this is not essential if you can demonstrate significant relevant experience and a good knowledge of Marketing disciplines
- Proficient in content creation across a range of formats and tools, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro
- Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
- Driven and highly motivated
- A genuine passion for social media and on top of the latest developments and ground-breaking work, with a strong intuition for what makes a standout and shareable piece of content
- Creative thinking: innovative ideas, engaging copy, witty one liners and thinking outside the box will be your thing, producing inventive content that engages our followers (and followers to be…)
- Solid analytical skills, allowing you to extract insights and boil them down into meaningful actions

Ways of working
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, but we dont have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern thats right for you. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work.
We also have hybrid working so we all work from home and our office in Manchester City Centre. As a team we tend to work 1-2 days (Tuesday / Wednesday) in the office and the rest of the week from home.
What to expect from our interview process
We will have a two-stage interview process for this position that will consist of a first stage telephone interview and a second stage interview in our Aeroworks office in Manchester.
