Reporting to: Depot Manager

Purpose of the role:

Liaising with: Other Shift Managers, Warehouse Manager, Warehouse team, Collection and Delivery drivers, Linehaul Drivers, Operations team, and Management

WORKING HOURS

47.5 hrs per week (excluding 30 min break per day) Monday to Friday and the last 6 Saturdays in the calendar year which is our busiest period.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure the effective processing of parcels through the depot.

Performing this role in a timely and secure manner, limiting loss through mis-routes, theft or damage.

· To work varied hours across AM and PM shifts (02:00 – 19:00)

· Problem solving, ability to deal with issues as they happen

· Proven management skills are essential

· Driver process management and re-educating as required

· Security conscious for depot lockdown as there may be occasional key holder requirement

· Ability to analyse system data and provide meaningful information

· Compile reports as required

· Liaising with various teams across Warrington and Liverpool Depots

· To operate within, and exceed, company set service levels

· To authorise expenditure for operational needs to maintain service levels whilst controlling discretionary spend within guidelines

· Maintain Service Level performances.

· Health and Safety/Security

· To implement and monitor the effectiveness of the Depot Health and Safety policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment.

· To implement the Security Policy, facilitating security awareness and to action vehicle and personnel searches in line with the CPG.

· Human Resources

· To effectively manage depot employees through communication, appraisals, and training.

· To communicate information to all relevant employees.

Salary: £28,340.00 per year
