Job description
Responsibilities include:
- Handle complex benefits counseling and processing, including retirement and death benefits
- Lead benefit presentations
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations and other relevant stakeholders on complex cases
- Resolve escalated cases from the HR Solution Center
- Support open enrollment and the rollout of new benefit programs or new vendors
- Develop and deliver training for the HR Solution Center and HR Business Partners
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $ 55,000-67,500, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We support work/life balance and t his position is eligible for remote work with the understanding that there is work that must be conducted in-person, on site with some frequency (1-2 days/week). This is a full-time position with UVa benefits. Employees benefits package highlights include:

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in a benefits or related position is preferred; five or more years of experience in a benefit or related role substitutes for degree.
Also required:
- Experience with common HR information systems, like Workday
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent advisory and consultative skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- High enthusiasm and a desire to help others.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
