Job Title: Counsellor
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 12.50 per week
Salary: £35,455 - £37,556 pro rata
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counsellor within the Safeguarding & Wellbeing department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based across campuses.
Responsibilities include:
Offer individual counselling to students across the College. Assessing the suitability of clients for counselling and signposting to other services where appropriate.- Attend clinical supervision with an external consultant in accordance with professional guidelines
- Maintain records of counselling work and produce statistical information as requested by the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager
- Attend appropriate courses and training events to ensure continuing professional development and work towards BACP accreditation
- Attend team meetings and external meetings as a representative of the College counselling service as required by your line manager.
- Assist with the delivery of staff training if required by the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager.
- Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
Candidates are required to have a Professional Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy and be registered with BACP or have client experience sufficient to meet the requirements for accreditation within 2 years.
