USG / Student Services / Staff Counselling Service
Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Part Time - 12 Hours per Week
We are looking for a qualified and experienced counsellor/psychotherapist to undertake individual work with University of Edinburgh staff members at our busy Staff Counselling Service.
The Opportunity:
The post is part time - 12 hours per week (0.34fte) and the working hours are Tuesdays (8:30am to 4:30pm) and Thursdays (8:30am to 1:30pm) at the Moray House Lodge Counselling Centre.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- You will be educated to graduate level
- Have a recognised professional qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy with previous, post-qualifying, counselling practice
- Have experience working within a staff counselling service
- You should be interested in working in a team and have a clear understanding of how the organisational context impacts on therapeutic decisions
- Knowledge of counselling in a workplace environment and be skilled in practising brief therapy
- You will be accredited by BACP (or equivalent) or be working towards accreditation
The University Counselling Service is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
