Job description
Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust (LPFT) is an NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression site. An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 qualified counsellors (Band 5 or Band 6) to join the Service. The specific remit of these posts will be to work with people who often experience health inequalities, such as older people, asylum seekers, refugees, and people from rural communities. The successful candidates will provide evidence based interventions within a stepped care model, treating people who are experiencing a mild to moderate common mental health problem. In order to reach the people we are aiming to treat, the candidates will need to be willing to travel to wherever the service users are located. One post holder will be based in the East of the county (covering Skegness/Mablethorpe) and one will be based towards the west, covering Grantham and Boston.
The Band 5 counsellor will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing counselling for depression to their caseload and will be provided with clinical supervision. The service will provide the relevant training to acquire a qualification in an IAPT modality (CfD).
For a Band 6 post, the candidate will need to be accredited with a professional body and complete/pass a qualification in an IAPT modality (CfD). They will also be responsible in providing clinical supervision to counselling colleagues.
