Counselling Practitioners Bradford Survive & Thrive
Part-time Counsellor with community language skills
(10 hours sessional, funded until 30 September 2024)
Scale points 23-25, £28,226- £30,095 pro rata.
Bradford Survive and Thrive provide services to ensure families who have experienced domestic abuse & sexual violence receive the right support at the right time, to make them safe, and help promote recovery and healing.

Bradford Survive and Thrive is a partnership of Staying Put, Family Action and WomenCentre.

We are looking to recruit a qualified, experienced counsellor to join Survive and Thrive Adult Counselling Service.

To apply you will need to have:
  • A minimum of two years post qualification experience of offering individual counselling to people who have been exposed to domestic abuse and/or sexual violence and/or over two years of domestic abuse and or sexual violence support experience to BACP standard.
  • Available Monday, Thursday, Friday (one or more of these days)
  • Post holders will need to be within driving distance of Bradford City centre; the service offers online and face to face counselling sessions.
  • A sound knowledge of relevant support services across the Bradford District
In a bid to complete the existing Adult Counselling Service and to meet the needs of service users based in Bradford District, we are seeking to recruit one counsellor with community language skills, preferably Punjabi and Urdu.
The Counsellor will run their own diary, making initial triage calls to clients ahead of initial assessment. The adult counselling service works with both male and female clients.
This post is open to women only- (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 applies).
Post holders are employed by WomenCentre and based in the Bradford District office as part of the Survive and Thrive partnership.
