We’re looking for a highly motivated Cost Reporting Analyst to provide cost reporting information to Senior Management across Santander UK and Santander Group. You’ll assist the Cost Reporting Manager in overseeing the aggregation of cost performance reporting, analysis of key trends and deep dives as required.
This is a great role to increase your exposure in the bank, you’ll be a key link between the finance business partners, the business, UK Finance teams and Group.
As the Cost Reporting Specialist, you’ll be responsible for management and production of regular value-added stakeholder reporting of costs at Statutory and Group reporting views. Key aspects of the role will be to maintain integrity of data, communication with finance business partners to understand variances & to work with other internal finance teams and group to provide analysis and understanding of the cost base in a clear user-friendly way.
The difference you’ll make.
Producing accurate monthly cost reports providing meaningful analysis on total Santander UK cost base.
Identifying key / material variances for investigation, liaising and challenging business stakeholders to understand causes.
Developing key relationships with stakeholders across Finance to deliver the best service.
Using expertise to automate and improve efficiency of reporting on a continuous basis through new ways of working.
Liaising with business stakeholders to resolve any issues / queries and overcome any potential issues, communicating key conclusions to senior stakeholders.
Producing regular month end reports, using Excel & PowerPoint. Hold, manage & cut data in a way that allows for it to be analysed & presented quickly & easily.
What you’ll bring.
ACCA or CIMA part qualified / qualified Accountant or equivalent
Highly motivated individual with Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and ability to work autonomously
It would also be nice for you to have.
Ability to communicate effectively and influence senior managers & cross functionally
Good understanding of financial services industry and products/service
Able to work under pressure, manage multiple, conflicting interests & deadlines individually and as part of a team
Highly numerate, works with attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy

This is a full-time permanent role offering Flexible working between home and the office.
