Job Title: Junior Client Accountant
Location: London
We are looking for a diligent Junior Client Accountant to join our property management team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and basic accounting support for an assigned portfolio of properties and clients.
Main responsibilities include:
- Maintaining digital records of all income and expenses for assigned properties
- Processing invoices, tenant payments, vendor bills etc.
- Preparing bank reconciliations and basic financial reports
- Assisting with annual budget preparation and monitoring for properties
- Supporting the collection of rents, service charges and other payments from tenants
- Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to clients for management fees
- Completing VAT returns for managed properties
- Handling accounting queries from clients and tenants
- Maintaining organized financial records and files
- Identifying areas for improving financial processes and procedures
- Providing general administrative assistance to property managers as needed
Requirements:
- Basic accounting experience, preferably in property management
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong numeracy, bookkeeping and reconciliation skills
- Diligent with an ability to spot numerical errors
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and compliance with financial regulations
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
