Position: Treasury Accountant
Reporting to: Group Reporting Manager
Contract type: Full time – Colchester Hybrid

About the role:
We are actively looking to hire a treasury accountant, the role would suit an ACCA / CIMA studier. The is an exciting and wide-ranging role that will be reporting directly into the Group Reporting Manager but will also work closely with the rest of the management accounts team, currently split between Colchester, London and Stafford, and with the finance leadership.
The role includes:
First port of call for all banking and lending relationships
Manage the Group’s cash positions and maximise interest income
Ensuring all banking costs are kept under review and competitive v market
Dealing with external auditors and assisting with treasury / banking queries
Production and review of cash flow forecasts
Working with the finance department and the wider business to ensure there are effective controls around the payment and banking processes
Production of covenant reporting and covenant forecasting
Ownership of relationships with Group’s insurers
Working with the wider business to complete insurance renewals
Monitoring the Group’s inter-company positions and operating regular netting
Answering ad hoc queries for management / wider finance
The role would suit an ambitious accounts assistant with passion for treasury who is looking to further their career.
What we’re looking for:
Part-qualified accountant / studier with good knowledge of banking / treasury
Experience of working in a group
Solid understanding of cash flow forecasting
Basic understanding of insurance
Experience of working with auditors
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently, and as part of wider team
Ability to work under pressure
Person who displays the right attitude coupled with the energy to execute
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Good time management
Strong Excel skills are critical (we love Excel in finance!)
