As a Banking and General Ledger Analyst, you will be responsible for handling worldwide Bank and Balances Sheet accounts linked to cash collections, from processing settlement and bank files to reconciliation, as well as driving initiatives that deliver strategic and innovative changes in our processes and system.
An experience in the airline industry is desirable, however the essential competencies for this job are:
- Ability to distil complex technical information into clear simple messages
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICFR, GDPR and PCI standards to the extent they apply to credit card settlement and banking processes
- Good team working and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Supplier management – monitor activities performed by WNS within area of responsibility, for timeliness and accuracy, provide support as and when needed to ensure suppliers can meet their commitments to BA
- Ability to proactively and constructively challenge assumptions and approaches
- Track record of working on own initiative
- Flexible approach to a changing environment and a self-teaching attitude
- Resilience, commitment and ability manage complex and ambiguous requirements and situations
- Able to break down a high level target to specific actions; work, self-directed, dealing with ambiguity, to meet business objectives
- Good knowledge of industry settlement processes and systems
What you will do:
- Ensure all bank statements and all settlement files from various industry sources and card companies are received and loaded into SAP on a daily basis
- Follow up with the senders if files are not received, not in the expected format or not correct
- Settlement reconciliation
- Designs and delivers appropriate solutions through proactive cross-functional working with the business areas (e.g. Treasury, Group Reporting) and the IT teams,
- Works with external providers and 3rd parties (i.e. IATA, card acquirers) to improve timeliness in data availability, increase automation and accuracy in the settlement process
- Assesses industry changes impacting automation and data requirements / data availability in the settlement / banking area and where required or beneficial, initiates their adoption within BA
- Project manages and implements settlement related activities impacting potentially multiple business areas, from scope to implementation.
- Strict adherence to ICFR, GDPR and PCI standards in all processes
