Frazier & Deeter UK are a professional services firm set up in 2019 in the UK. We are not your typical firm of accountants and we like doing things differently. We have a strong United States (US) theme and are part owned by a major independent US firm of public accountants. We typically support fasting growing SME Tech, Bio Tech and Life Science companies, who are venture capital backed, with a variety of tax and audit services, with a particular focus on those looking to expand internationally, particularly moving to or from the US. In our UK firm, our services are carefully positioned to consider the needs of the passionate individuals who run the businesses we serve, as well as the businesses themselves. The Role We are looking for an Associate to join our UK Corporate Tax team. Whilst also studying towards your professional qualifications, you will support senior colleagues with our client's corporate tax affairs, including the preparation and submission of tax returns, liaising with clients on research and development tax credit matters, and dealing with HMRC queries. As you progress in your role, you can expect to be given more responsibility and the opportunity to assist on bespoke tax advisory projects including reorganisations, acquisitions, and international and cross-border tax matters. You will be given support and guidance in all tasks that you are asked to undertake and gain exposure across the wider firm, learning about the different areas in which we support and engage with our clients. Our trainees will be able to attend external courses run by a leading financial training company in London to prepare them for their professional examinations. The external courses combine classroom tutorage, practice examinations and a home study element. Successful trainees will be supported throughout their professional studies towards the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification and then Chartered Taxation Advisor (CTA) qualification. Who we are looking for Our ATT/CTA graduate training scheme is open to graduates from any degree discipline, whether straight out of university or someone looking for a career change or return to work. We're looking for someone who has strong organisation skills, a keen eye for detail and enjoys building relationships. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are also necessary, as is someone passionate about developing themselves. We are not looking for someone who knows everything already, but someone who is committed to their development and keen to work hard and learn!
