The role
As a fully licensed SIA Door Supervisor with current Physical Intervention upskilling you will provide a responsive and effective security assistance whenever a threat to the safety of staff or the premises arises and ensure appropriate follow-up documentation is completed.
You will be responsible as part of a team to control access to the premises, verifying intended destinations and ensuring the proper management of visitors and contractors, issuing and checking a range of security badges including access control passes & ID badges in accordance with established procedures. You may be asked to proactively monitor the CCTV networks for any suspicious activity, taking appropriate action on any suspicious activity noted. You will play an active role in managing any emergency situations i.e. flooding, power failure, fire & bomb alerts - including controlling access to the premises, and routinely ensure compliance with emergency and safety procedures. This role may include working shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity it is essential the successful candidate holds an in-date SIA DS License with current physical Intervention certificate and continues to qualify for a DS SIA license and Physical Intervention certificate. The Security Officer needs to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude, a flexible approach to work and able to prioritise and respond to suit the changing operational business needs. Excellent communication skills are required. This role may involve the need for physical intervention and you must be physically able to carry this out.
