Due to company growth, a fantastic opportunity has become available for an accounting professional to work in a key role within a growing and ambitious FTSE 250 business. As a member of the External Reporting Team, you will be involved in developing our financial, strategic and ESG related reporting, and ensuring compliance with new regulations.
You will work closely with stakeholders, providing key information across reporting periods and shaping the group’s reporting, processes, and policies.

Key responsibilities:
Financial & Strategic Reporting
- Assist in shaping the Strategic Report and collating all necessary information
- Assist in drafting key statements of the Annual Report
- Preparation of period end papers for the Audit Committee and External Auditors
- Assist in ensuring compliance with listed company regulatory requirements
- Preparation of technical papers assessing the potential impacts of new or relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements
- To maintain a broad market knowledge and commercial awareness and apply to our external reporting
- Assist in the review and development of policies and procedures in a FTSE environment
ESG
- Assist in drafting the Group’s ESG and TCFD reporting
- Assist in complying with ESG-related requirements, such as in the calculation and modelling of our GHG emissions
- Collate and report a quarterly ESG metrics dashboard
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of current and upcoming regulatory requirements
- Keep abreast of best practice reporting
Candidates who are newly qualified ACA/ACCA with the following experience and skills will be of particular interest:
- Experience in Audit
- Experience of financial reporting in a listed company
- Experience of drafting policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Planning, organisation, and time management skills with the ability to prioritise
- Excellent working knowledge of IFRS and FRS101
- Strong technical skills
- Logical mindset; able to solve problems with an ‘eye for detail’
- Flexible and highly motivated
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
Desirable Competencies:
- Experience in the Financial Services Sector desirable
- Experience of ESG and TCFD reporting desirable
