What You Can Expect

Leading the Talent agenda for all team members across the EMEA region (c. 28 countries) and a key member of the Global Talent Center of Excellence, you will have the unique opportunity to make significant impact on the team member experience at Zimmer Biomet.

Collaborating across all aspects of the people lifecycle i.e. Talent Acquisition, Management, Development, Engagement and Analytics this role presents an ideal next step for current HR partners wanting to create greater impact, at scale.

How You Create Impact

As the lead for all Talent related activities in the region and member of the EMEA HRLT, you will be responsible for the co-creation and deployment of global talent initiatives across EMEA, facilitating feedback, involvement, communication and long-term engagement with teams.

On a given day, you will spend time:

  • Collaborating with business leaders, HR and wider teams across EMEA to understand their need and help educate / raise awareness of talent tools and opportunities available.
  • Working on talent and engagement projects to improve the team member experience.
  • Playing a big part in the co-creation and success of global talent initiatives.
  • Working with cross functional partners to identify and remedy talent pain points.
  • Championing and leading communication activity for all talent related activity in the region.
  • Creating opportunities to involve teams in upcoming projects to make sure they land with impact
  • Empowering HR teams and leaders with the information they need most, through methods such as the HR community, Viva Engage, update sessions and the Circle.

What you’ll do in more detail:

  • Partner with the global Talent team, EMEA HRVP and wider HR LT on upcoming talent initiatives and communication plans.
  • Drive the EMEA Talent Review process, quarterly update sessions and HiPo development.
  • Create talent mobility initiatives with a view to increasing mobility and career opportunity across the region.
  • Design and delivery of regional learning and train the trainer workshops as needed (Training in a Box, Performance Connections, Insights)
  • Own the Performance Connections process and provide support to enable meaningful quarterly check-ins.
  • Coordinate regional nominations for global Learn & Lead programming.
  • Work with the global talent team to roll out the annual Engagement and Great Place to Work surveys alongside regional action planning as a result.
  • Support in evolving the regional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy
  • Hold the EMEA talent and DEI budget, initiate vendor set up and purchase order’s as needed
  • Introduce insightful accountability metrics in partnership with the global analytics team to measure impact and value of talent initiatives across the region.
  • Networking and personal growth to stay ahead of innovative trends across the talent space.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Associate Director, Global Talent Management.

Projects you will be involved in in your first 6 months:

  • Creation of Career Pathways.
  • Engagement Survey launch and action planning.
  • Success factors training and deployment (new Succession, Talent Pools, Career Development modules).
  • Enhancing Talent Mobility and career growth.

What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Experience within HR, Talent and/or Internal Comms related functions.
  • Exposure to global businesses and complex matrix environments.
  • Evidenced ability to manage both local and international stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are bonus.
  • Relevant qualification in HR, training or other related field preferred but not essential.
