The Talent Acquisition Manager III is responsible for developing, organizing, and executing our technical recruiting strategy for our engineering and research and development (FAST Labs) organizations within BAE Electronic Systems Inc.
In this role, you will lead a team of recruiting professionals focused on identifying, attracting and hiring the best talent while creating a world class candidate experience. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business area leaders and partner with our HR leadership team to develop staffing solutions for critical needs in the electronic systems sector. The position reports directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage an experienced team of Talent Acquisition professionals that work together, leveraging best practices and regional expertise. Provide guidance, direction, and coaching; assess performance, provide feedback, and actively develop talent.
Operate as a strategic and tactical recruiting process and solutions expert while simultaneously providing the highest level of customer service.
Account Executive: Deliver services that show you and the TA team understand the assigned business you support and function as a customer account executive, demonstrating comprehensive, business acumen to gain the customers confidence and trust.
Design and develop innovative recruiting and sourcing strategies to achieve short- and long-term staffing needs for critical skills.
Build a plan that cultivates a diverse pipeline of candidates to address critical needs of today and skillsets needed for the future.
Champion Diversity Equity and Inclusion into hiring processes and practices and fostering a culture of inclusion.
Interface with business area leaders and HR partners to understand staffing goals and expectations with a focus on customer service and delivery.
Provide thought leadership, advisement and coaching to the business and HR leaders on market trends and creative talent acquisition solutions to maintain Electronic Systems’ competitive edge.
Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and OFCCP / EEOC guidelines.
Drive data and analytical decision making, practices for the business, recruiting plans and provide insights to the customer to gain buy in and support where needed.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR 10 years with a Master’s Degree OR 8 years with a PhD OR 16 years with high school diploma.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. BAE Systems, Inc. will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in a Talent Acquisition leadership role supporting a team of 10+ recruiters and recruiting managers with a focus on staffing engineering and research and development resources.
- Prior experience designing, building and leveraging staffing programs for hard to fill critical skills.
- Strong understanding of recruiting metrics and data and how they relate to performance.
- Previous experience working for a government defense contractor and cleared requirements.
- Exceptional customer service mindset with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stake holders.
- Proven experience serving as a coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.
- Business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.
- Knowledge of talent acquisition fundamentals (TA technology suites, TA data & analytics, sourcing strategies, early careers, recruitment marketing)
- Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with data-driven solutions that will effectively advance business strategies and drive change throughout their organizations.
- Project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.
