Employment Location: County Hall, Morpeth
The Corporate Health and Safety Team comprises ten professional advisers who are committed to provide an excellent safety advisory service to all functions of Northumberland County Council and associated partner organisations.
The role includes setting strategic team priorities and objectives and managing an established team of experienced health and safety advisers. The Corporate Manager reports to the authority’s Executive Team on a regular basis.
You will be based at the Council’s Headquarters at County Hall in the beautiful market town of Morpeth, Northumberland. Interviews will comprise of a short twenty-minute presentation followed by a formal interview.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly qualified professional Health and Safety Manager with experience of working in Local Government ideally in both a management and practitioner role. The ability to converse at ease with client groups and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
