Full Time London, England 35000 - 48000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Corporate Events Manager – £35,000 to £48,000
Location - London
Contract - 12 Months, Maternity Cover
Can you showcase a proven track record in devising and organising imaginative & innovative events, matched with the ability to think on your feet, respond quickly to change and deliver in a high pressured, deadline driven environment?
If so, we may have the perfect opportunity here at Aviva as a Corporate Events Manager on a 12 month contract!
A bit about the job:
You will lead effectively on multiple, concurrent projects, executing these with the highest attention to detail, alongside managing a range of stakeholders, ensuring that you respond to briefs strategically and drive forward new ideas & challenge the status quo.
You must also ensure that all Aviva events meet their agreed requirements, and are aligned to relevant strategies, whilst working within given budget constraints.
It is also important that you provide comprehensive, logistical arrangements across a range of event initiatives both remotely and on site - plus your attendance at said events will be key, where you will showcase your broad business perspective and understanding of our organisational brand and culture, becoming a brand ambassador.
Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our London offices. The role will also involve regular travel both across London and nationally, to attend relevant events.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Prior work experience within a Corporate Events or Events Agency Management role - either thanks for working for a big brand / business like Aviva, or for an events agency working with an exciting portfolio of clients, demonstrating commercial acumen
  • Creative and innovative project management and delivery skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and keep up to date on industry trends
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder influencing skills, up to C-suite level
  • You must be flexible and adaptable in your approach, as this role will sometimes mean you have to work outside of the normal ‘9 to 5’
  • Be a professional yet confident brand ambassador, demonstrating the right level of discretion and gravitas, ensuring positive representation for Aviva
What you’ll get for this role:
  • Annual salary of £35,000 - £48,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity of 10% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.)
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work
  • Make a difference, be part of our
    Aviva Communities
and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools
