We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Corporate Development Relationship Manager to identify and develop new market opportunities which form part of the wider HSBC strategy to support our clients in funding the transition to net zero and working collaboratively with the HEF Sales team to support the development and structuring of complex transactions which may include the development of third-party relationships in sustainability linked markets.
A high-level overview: Corporate Development Relationship Managers are senior product specialists with a detailed understanding of the skills needed to support the development of new markets and asset classes where HEF are able to provide asset finance solutions to sophisticated customers in the MME, Large Corporate and GB&M markets.
The role has a hybrid/flexible working pattern allowing for home based and office-based working at HSBC offices in Birmingham and London as well as client meetings.
In this role you will:
- Engage, manage and develop a pipeline of relationships which have the propensity to support clients across CMB in accessing CAPEX funding principally linked to the transition to net zero including funding the assets which form part of the growing opportunity in the ‘As a Service’ market.
- Leverage relationships with key influencers within your business network to be the preferred option for recommendations.
- Support customers and place their needs at the forefront of all they do, setting world class standards and ensuring demonstrating fair customer treatment and delivery of customer satisfaction.
- Provide excellent relationship management to all connections including meeting realistic expectations in terms of efficiency, accuracy and professionalism.
- Manage regulatory and reputational risk, ensure business adherence throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e., Commercial Banking (CMB), Asset Finance market.
- Strong working knowledge of building complex lending deals interpreting financial data and deal completion.
- Highly numerate and with experience of credit analysis, financial modelling, and associated risk frameworks.
- Knowledge of complex credit & lending platforms ideally within Structured Asset Finance.
- A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered.
- Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively and adhering to strict deadlines.
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these.
