Global Corporate Maintenance Solutions is a group within Alternative Legal Services (ALS). Due to an expanding portfolio of clients, the GCMS team is seeking enthusiastic Legal Professionals to join a client-facing team and help clients coordinate their annual corporate compliance obligations, as well as implementing multi-jurisdictional, cross-border corporate changes to legal entities. This is an opportunity to develop skills to deliver the highest quality service for our clients around the globe with the potential to grow within this team. Successful Legal Professionals have moved into other roles within the team and Firm having expanded their responsibilities within GCMS.
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Responsibilities:
- To carry out reviews and develop reports in support of the GCMS team, the wider Corporate Reorganisations and M&A Practice Groups
- To coordinate annual corporate compliance programs and global corporate change projects
- Assist the GCMS team by populating and maintaining project and client-specific IT platforms
- Assist in the tracking, monitoring and updating of compliance trackers, escalating upcoming or lapsed deadlines to the GCMS team and clients as appropriate
- Assist the GCMS team in the preparation of materials for compliance update calls with clients, partners and associates
- Escalate client queries and issues to the GCMS team as appropriate and assist in their resolution
- Assist the GCMS team in capturing and developing corporate governance and legal know how
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, partners and lawyers in all industries/practices in a variety of jurisdictions
- Contribute to the identification of innovative services and methods to assist in achieving efficiencies and continual process improvement
Skills and Experience:
- Law graduate (2:1 or above) with a minimum of 3 A-levels (B grades and above) and a strong academic background
- Strong attention to detail and time management is a must
- Ability to review, analyze, organize and accurately summarise information and documentation
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and online research tools
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work well in both a team and individually
- Keen to develop and use initiative
- Strong work ethic and an enthusiasm for a fast-paced legal environment
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and problem solving skills
