Role Summary

Corporate and Workplace Solutions (CWS) Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Regional Head leads the regional CWS team across its Workplace Experience, Engineering, Office of Global Security, Spend Management and Divisional Management businesses. Based in London, CWS has a growing presence in Birmingham with distributed regional office managers present in countries across the region. This position reports globally to the head of CWS and regionally to the firm’s EMEA Chief Administrative Officer.

Responsibilities

Corporate and Workplace Solutions Management

  • Oversee strategic planning and management of the firm's workplace requirements across EMEA
  • Create cohesive strategy for delivering next generation of workplace productivity through technology solutions and purpose-built workspaces in EMEA, leading a multi-faceted team in creating great work solutions and experiences
  • Oversee delivery of non-comp expense operating efficiencies and helping shape the firm’s relationships with third-party suppliers across the full spend management lifecycle, from planning through sourcing, payments accounting and analysis
  • Manage control functions related to relevant regulatory reporting for our carbon commitments, supplier diversity commitments, inter affiliate services, operational risk reporting and compliance requirements
  • Evolve real estate portfolio strategy, considering next generation of workplace and employee experience, business synergies, and technology innovations
  • Manage the provision of uninterrupted services to critical office market-making activities and data centres through strong vendor relationships and the development of effective risk management and Business Continuity Planning
  • Establish portfolio planning principles and define KPIs for portfolio performance and operational efficiencies
  • Advise on corporate acquisitions by the firm and post-acquisition integrations or divestitures of existing firmwide business initiatives
  • Solve for any impact or opportunity presented by new and evolving business initiatives and change management across CWS businesses in partnership with firmwide and divisional leadership
  • Oversee negotiations and commercial transactions related to CWS team in EMEA corporate real estate portfolio

Senior Stakeholder Engagement & Management

  • Serve as CWS leadership’s regional representative to achieve the mission, vision and key performance metrics of CWS globally
  • Participate as a member of the advisory board for the Controllers, Finance and Operations and Core Engineering Leadership Team for EMEA
  • Ongoing engagement with senior stakeholders across the region to define business needs and requirements

Governance Oversight

  • Oversee strategy, budget, controls/risk function and execution of the work across all CWS businesses
  • Manage all aspects of regional resource requirements, headcount forecasting, driving diversity, equity and inclusion, performance reviews, compensation and location capacity planning for CWS, in partnership with global CWS leadership
  • Oversee incident management and escalation related to CWS businesses in region

Experience & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience leading a similar in-house function in any industry or workplace management / consulting firm
  • Strategic and visionary leader with ability to set clear direction and performance indicators to measure and achieve success
  • Proven ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of professionals across all levels within an organization to achieve results
  • Strong team builder to foster collaborative and high-performance team culture
  • Change driver / problem-solver with transformational, continuous-improvement mind-set
  • Oriented toward quality and operational excellence of delivery
  • Experienced risk manager, adept in governance structure to help anticipate challenges and manage incident response and business continuity
  • Strong financial and data analysis/modeling experience
  • Skilled negotiator and vendor relationship manager, adept at working across regions and cultures
  • Understanding of emerging productivity solutions
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of business needs
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
