The Position
The Copywriter is responsible for developing written solutions to meet clients’ objectives for concepts through to finished copy. They’re expert organizers who are highly effective at staying on top of multiple projects, each with various moving pieces, thanks to their proactive thinking skills, exceptional verbal and written communication abilities and a strong attention to detail.
Overall Accountability
The purpose of this position is to determine tone, style, structure, and voice of content, based on available space, knowledge of editorial principles, aesthetic sense, and brand considerations. The work of the Copywriter will reflect intelligent thinking, good organization, and accuracy while meeting assignment deadlines with consistent and dependably elevated levels of performance. In this role, the Copywriter ensures that the agency provides work that exceeds clients’ expectations, by constantly and consistently adapting and anticipating industry trends and delivering a consistently superior product.
Responsibilities & Duties
Areas of responsibility for the Copywriter will include:
- Create high-quality creative copy that communicates our clients' brand messaging and values.
- Develop effective messaging strategies that resonate with our clients' target audiences.
- Work collaboratively with creative director and creative teams to create integrated campaigns that effectively meet the brief.
- Ensure all content is clear, concise, and compelling.
- Proofing copy to ensure quality of material.
- Develop multiple types of copy, including long form creative copy, short form copy for digital assets, instructional copy, website content.
- Develop messaging strategies that effectively communicate our clients' brand messaging and values.
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to develop and execute content marketing strategies.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Ensure that all content produced adheres to brand voice and style guidelines.
What You Need to Succeed
- 3-5 years of copywriting experience in a marketing agency or related field
- Degree or Certificate in Marketing or English preferred
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional copywriting skills that communicate our clients' brand messaging and values effectively
- Strong attention to detail, and a familiarity with content management systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
- Adherence to style guides or a knack for the grammatically correct
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
