Role purpose:
To help lead and shape Vodafone UK’s self-publishing strategy and write articles, publish press releases, write editorial articles that support the reputational goals of the company. Work closely with colleagues in all teams to support campaigns with viewpoints, features and news stories and supply content to other areas of the business including – but not limited to – customer comms (CVM) and digital.
We are looking for a great writer, someone who is personable and bring a newsroom attitude and skills to our team.
What you'll do;
Maintenance of Vodafone UK’s self-publishing strategy (newscentre and find other owned outlets e.g. CVM newsletter, digital app / blogs)- Day-to-day management of the Vodafone UK Newscentre and the MergeCo microsite
- Manage paid social on the websites
- Working collaboratively, providing support to the external affairs department to give wider ‘air cover’ and exposure for activities and campaigns on our owned channels
- Deliver scripts for videos, corporate speeches and other editorial content that supports the business
Who you'll be;
Experience of writing for a publishing platform for a brand or content creator- Strong editorial and writing skills (journalist background)
- Strong business or technology background
- Strong communication skills to guide, influence and convince others
- Experience in journalism and publishing
Desirable
Telco knowledge / Or business knowledge- Experience in writing corporate comms (eg speeches/ features etc)
- Ability to translate complex issues into simple stories people understand
