POSITION SUMMARY:
This position creates and executes ideas that win across multiple channels for Diamond's diverse roster of clients. The Copywriter provides copy and creative concepts for advertising, experiential marketing programs and across all mediums and tactics. The primary focus is craftsmanship, writing and strategic ideation.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates innovative ideas from concept to copy and execution that nail client objectives and strategies
- Collaborates fully with members of the Creative, Accounts and Production departments
- Presents work to the Creative Director and integrated team that meets our high standards and the client's needs
- Executes and presents copy decks for integrated, digital or experiential marketing concepts that have strong conceptual and strategic ideation
- Presents work and sells ideas with passion and persuasion
- Continually learns about, shares and applies industry best practices
- Listens to and addresses internal and client feedback
- Attends status meetings, production handoff meetings, and presentations as needed
- Assists Creative Director on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensures all work is of the highest possible quality and maintains agency's commitment to changing customer behaviour through disruptive ideas
- Proof-reads all final assets
- Contributes to the new business pitches
- Engages with creative leadership to improve project processes and workflow
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of copywriting experience in an agency setting
- Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication
- Extremely detail oriented, creative, reliable and analytical
- Knowledge of software (Adobe and Google suite)
- Background in experiential program execution is preferred, and Advertising/Marketing/Experiential Agency environment experience is required
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while remaining highly motivated
- This role does require weekend work and/or off-standard hours
