Purpose of the Role: To ensure that all vehicles and personnel are scheduled appropriately to support key event dates in the Formula One, Test Previous Car (TPC) and Heritage calendars. Role Dimensions: A McLaren Technology Centre based role, you will be an integral part of the Transport Coordination Team ensuring vehicles and personnel are scheduled appropriately to support key event dates in the Formula One, TPC and Heritage calendars. The position will involve unsociable hours and some weekend work. Principal Accountabilities: You will efficiently plan how vehicles and personnel support the key event dates identified in the Formula One, TPC and Heritage calendars, collaborating with Senior Operatives within the Transport Department. Lead the weekly Race Truck Schedule meeting, advising on transfer times and routings having collaborated with the Transport event planning team. Actioning and reporting back any areas at risk to mitigate operational challenges in future movements. Actively debrief post event with the event planning team in line with our review, learn and improve approach. You will be the first point of contact for the travelling workforce to respond to any Transport Schedule variation or operational requirements. Updating of the Transport Travel Requests, involving hotel, flight and hire cars, to be communicated to the Team and Travel department in a timely and efficient manner to meet required deadlines. Ensuring travelling personnel Per Diems are processed. Ensure vehicles and personnel operate in line with customer and stakeholder expectations. Organising paperwork, digital or hard copy, so that it is “right first time” for all Cross Border Exits (UK & EU). Ensure all entry / exit UK & EU border protocols are completed collaborating closely with RTL Correct raising of Goods Movement Reference number (GMR) Ensuring appropriate documentation is associated with relevant GMR GMR references Dangerous Goods Notes Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) Safety and Security Declarations UK Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Essential in depth understanding and awareness of Tachograph and Working Time Directive rules. International CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) holder. Current industry knowledge including up to date refresher course of OLAT (Operator Licence Awareness Training) within last five years. Ability to work to extremely tight and demanding deadlines with conflicting priorities. Effective route planning encompassing bank holidays, tolls, permits and restrictions En-route. Excellent knowledge in planning European vehicle movements (LGV & LCV) – post Brexit. Excellent knowledge of the UK Border Operation models and the differing systems in place at UK Ports. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, MS Excel, Power Apps to continually drive the efficiency in the department. Experience in operating fleet management software as a solution (SAAS).
