  • Alerts Information Technology (IT) management to potential problems.
  • Creates the following documents as needed for project related procurements: footprint submissions, ECOS submissions and SOW’s.
  • Follows up as needed with VITA and procurement.
  • Gathers requirements for transition to VITA multi-sourced environment by work with VSP business and IT divisions.
  • Coordinates with VITA, IT, and ISO to ensure security policies are enforced.
  • Completes necessary paperwork.
  • Coordinates upcoming VITA transformation projects.
  • Reports status of projects monthly.
  • Works with external vendors contracted through VITA.
  • Assists in resolving billing disputes.
  • Assists with the tracking and management of VITA work requests.
  • Ensures ECOS requests are processed.
  • Approves timesheets and tracks contractor purchase orders.
  • Maintains knowledge on latest technology trends.
  • Reviews VITA’s standards and guidelines.
  • Maintains familiarity with the VSP COOP Plan and specific duties and responsibilities of Continuation Team members.
  • Participates in COOP training and exercises.
  • Maintains a COOP go-kit.


Minimum Qualifications

•Working knowledge of enterprise technologies including web technologies and multi-tiered systems; and of information technology planning and information systems. •Demonstrated ability to work in an information technology (IT) environment with multiple service providers; to manage vendor relationships in an IT environment, working with vendors to enforce service level agreements, and resolve billing disputes; to manage and coordinate multiple priorities, resources and meet established deadlines; to implement IT security policies in a distributed environment; to work with SaaS vendors and the procurement of Cloud solutions; to write business specifications, technical specifications, and stakeholder communications; to review, evaluate, and produce a comparative analysis of value propositions, proposals, and cost benefit analyses, and make comparable assessments and scoring of each for prioritization and selection; to review and modify statements of work, ensuring accuracy for agency’s needs; to track and report on the progress and outcomes of major active projects; to maintain effective relationships with employees and vendors; to work independently and as a member of a team; and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English.
  • Combination of education, experience, and training, demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in software project management, and graduation from an accredited college or university with major study in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Project Management Profession (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
