Have you worked in hospitality before? Would you like to improve or gain more experience within the hospitality industry? We are a Marston’s Brewery owned establishment. At the Rose and Crown Brailsford we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. We’re a small village pub based on the A52 between Derby and Ashbourne, we offer a large selection of drinks as well as food. We are pet friendly, the pub has a bar and restaurant as well as a large beer garden. We are currently looking For a Cook/Chef to join our welcoming and ever growing team. We serve food every day of the week so this role will include weekend work.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of food hygiene
- Cleanliness
- Organisation
- Knowledge of health and safety and food health and safety
- Knowledge of allergens
- Cooking in commercial kitchen
- Use of own initiative
- Familiar with HACCP practices
- Working well with others
Job Roll:
- Preparing and delivering food with the highest quality
- Serving well-presented meals
- Preparing food in a quick and timely manner
- Ensuring portion control and stock management
- Maintaining a clean, sanitised and hygienic kitchen
- Adhering with food safety and hygiene duties
- Waking up the kitchen (turning equipment on)
- Closing kitchen down (brushing and mopping floors, turning equipment off)
- Checking and changing date dots/labels
- Checking fridge and freezer temperatures
- Washing pots and equipment

Salary: £7.49-£11.00 per hour
