Location: Willow Burn Hospice, Lanchester
Salary: £9.59 p/h
Hours: 16hrs and holiday cover where applicable. Three shifts per week, to include some weekends
Team Leader: Café Co-Ordinator
Derwentside Hospice Care Foundation – or Willow Burn Hospice as we are known locally - is currently seeking a Cook to join our dedicated team. We are an independent charity delivering palliative and end of life care services to adults and their families across Derwentside and County Durham.
Job Purpose
The Willows Café is the community café based at Willow Burn Hospice and we are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced cook to work with our Café Co-Ordinator, Cook and team of volunteers to cater for patients and develop the café as a sustainable income stream.
The purpose of this role is to:
Prepare patient meals in accordance with requirements and menus
Ensure the Café opens for the advertised hours and is run efficiently, safely and securely
Ensure a high level of customer service and food and drink standards
Manage, train and support our team of café volunteers
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times, following the procedures in place, and ensure the cleaning of all kitchen areas and equipment.
