Conveyor Belt Fitter (Trainee)

We are an established company looking to increase our experienced team of Conveyor Belt Fitters. This role provides lots of variety as once trained, our fitters work both in our workshop, and also travel to fit conveyor belts in factories throughout the UK.

This position is open to candidates without previous experience of Conveyor Belt Fitting – experience in a mechanical fitting or a machine operator role would be an advantage.

Applicants must have:
- mechanical aptitude
- be able to safely use a variety of hand tools
- ability to communicate clearly with customers and fill in necessary paperwork (site reports)
- maths skills
- be able to measure accurately with a tape measure or ruler and do basic calculations
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- full driving licence – their own vehicle to get to our base – we provide vehicles for site work

As we provide a 24 hour breakdown service, applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours, and be able to undertake some night and weekend work (over-time and non-standard working hours will be paid accordingly). Ideally candidates would be based in High Wycombe/ Wooburn Green area or with no more than a 30 minute commute.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £26,000.00 - £35,000.00 per year
