Senior Controls Engineer - Cambridge
My client, a leading technology development company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real-time Controls Engineer to join their team in Cambridge. As a Real-time Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced control algorithms for real-time control of complex systems. You will also be responsible for developing control software and hardware, testing and validating control algorithms, and troubleshooting control issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement real-time control algorithms for complex systems
- Design, develop, and test control software and hardware
- Troubleshoot control issues and provide technical support to internal and external customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of control systems
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing activities
- Develop and maintain documentation of control algorithms and software
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Engineering
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing real-time control algorithms
- Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink, and control system design tools
- Familiarity with microcontroller programming, embedded systems, and real-time operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
