Position Description:
Controls Electrician II will work under minimal supervision, responsible for maintaining, installing and troubleshooting all plant instrumentation and other control systems. Applies knowledge and understanding of programming and troubleshooting plant controls processes and the equipment used to control those processes. Supports the maintenance of plant equipment to ensure a minimum of downtime. Investigates ideas and opportunities to improve equipment performance. Executes minor projects including PLC and HMI code changes
Compensation:
Starting: $38/hr +OT (DOE)
Night Shift Differential: + $2.00
Sign-on Bonus: $1,000
3 months: $500
6 months: $500
What You Will Do:
· Provide instrumentation and controls troubleshooting support for manufacturing operations team
· Working with electronic control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control elements used in automated processes
· Testing instrumentation and control systems and maintaining test equipment
· Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, oscilloscopes, and multimeter
· Consulting manuals, reading, and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
· Repairing and adjusting controls system components or removing and replacing defective parts
· Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment
· Provide training to maintenance technicians and operations team on equipment use and troubleshooting
· Work on assign continuous improvement projects assigned by CI leadership team
· Foster collaborative and organizational learning
· Provide process engineering support for manufacturing operations
· Proficient with personal computers and business applications
What You Need
1. Education and experience
o Bachelor of Science Degree plus 3 years of working with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment experience;
o OR 2 years technical degree in electrical technology plus 5 years of experience working with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment;
o OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of experience working with PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment
2. 5+ years appliable experience in food and/or beverage manufacturing
3. Experience with high-speed packaging equipment desired.
4. Experience troubleshooting and programming of automated equipment controlling programs (i.e. Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
