ABOUT THE ROLE
SUPER73 is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team onsite at our Irvine, CA HQ! This role will be responsible for leading and directing the organization’s global accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining the accounting systems, procedures, and policies. The Assistant Controller will lead the preparation of financial statements, manage the general ledger, and oversee accounts payable and receivable. They will also be responsible for assisting with cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable generating frequent financial reports for senior management. They should track financial information in a well-organized manner and assist the Director of Finance in all aspects related to accounting and finance at the organization. This position will supervise a team of accounting processionals and serve as a liaison to senior management and members of the Finance Department.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Partner across global operating entities to deliver ownership and accountability of end-to-end financial processes, systems, governance, internal controls and compliance
- Responsible for the comprehensive, accurate, and timely preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
- Review divisional closes and consolidate financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
- Establish, communicate, maintain, and monitor appropriate internal financial controls across domestic and international operating entities
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, including ensuring timeline customer billing/collections
- Manage annual audit process and publication of of annual report by outside auditors
- Conduct account reconciliations, variance analysis, and accruals
- Oversee cash maintenance and direct movement of cash among operating entities
- Oversee the completion of Federal and State tax reporting and compliance
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 7-10 years of accounting/finance experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience in GAAP accounting; IFRS a plus
- Excellent PC skills, especially in Microsoft excel
- Experience with NetSuite a MUST
- Experience directing processes and controls
- Strategic and analytical thinker capable of relating financial results to operating actions (numbers and words)
- Effective leadership capabilities including the ability to facilitate and lead meetings
- Demonstrated ability to hire, train, develop, and motivate employees
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
