About the Role
HerMD is seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to manage and oversee the monthly financial cycle. The Accounting Controller will undertake all aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
The Accounting Controller will take full ownership and responsibility for the monthly accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and accruals in accordance with GAAP.
- Preparation and coordination of the monthly financial package, including review with relevant stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Relationship management of treasury and banking.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Implementation and management of credentialing and privileging processes across the organization for all markets. Ensure that all provider credentials and privileges are current and meet regulatory requirements. Management of provider health plan enrollment process and action items. Release information to requesting agencies and public inquiries when required by law. Monitor license and credential expiration dates and advise staff members of required “renew by” dates. Ensure the facility and staff members are maintaining compliance with regulatory and accrediting institutions. Conduct primary source verification for all provider applications. Maintain provider files and database accuracy. Prepare and submit credentialing and privileging applications to relevant parties. Respond to inquiries from providers, staff, payers, and other stakeholders. Assist with the maintenance of a robust compliance program. Qualifications Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a growth-oriented company. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with providers, payers, and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks. Credentials: A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.
