Chase & Holland are excited to working in partnership with a distribution business based in Scunthorpe who are looking for a driven Financial Controller, as a result of an internal promotion. This role plays a key part in ensuring the business is running in a manner which maximises it’s financial position and opportunities. You will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department.

- Providing leadership to the finance team to ensure it’s running smoothly, whilst striving to continuously improve the system and processes
- Preparation of annual budgets, P&L and Balance Sheet forecasts
- Overseeing the month end reporting and providing commentary on the figures
- Cashflow forecasting
- Business partnering to ensure robust internal controls are in place across the business
- Challenging the business on cost bases
- Supporting the pricing team with stock and margin modelling
- Supporting the operations team with regular stock checks and bi-annual full stock takes
- Ensuring compliance of legal and stat requirements in a timely manner including VAT, PAYE and ONS
- Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with business critical reporting
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
- Highly analytical with great attention to detail
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Experience of team management
