The impact you will make
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Regional Controller to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role reports to our Corporate Controller and works directly with Regional Operations Leaders and businesses General Managers and local staff. The Regional Controller will oversee the daily/weekly/monthly business performance of their region; manage all accounting responsibilities and business reporting; assist with all hands-on accounting aspects of the company, and work in conjunction with CFO and senior leadership in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. A successful candidate can recognize and adjust to change, create disciplined processes, and act as an independent decision maker who will utilize team collaboration. The right individual for this role has a passion for excellence, great attention to detail and a proven ability to develop relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
This is a remote position with minimal travel to our regional locations.

Key Responsibilities*
- Provide leadership regarding accounting operations processes and procedures for business units in their respective region.
- Train and supervise local businesses accounting staff
- Collaborate with Operations and Sr Management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies and understand operations.
- Partner with key internal customers to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis.
- Audits cost data to ensure completeness and accuracy of work-in-process.
- Responsible for accurate and timely gross margin reporting.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable activities such as invoicing, applying cash receipts, and monitoring customer balances.
- Oversee Accounts Payable activities to ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, petty cash, and employee expense reports.
- Oversee purchasing activities to ensure timely processing of purchase order requests and issuance of purchase orders to vendors for materials, supplies, vendor management, and dependent demand planning.
- Ensures coordination of purchasing efforts with Accounts Payable activities.
- Maintains systems, procedures, and internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes data, and safeguards the division’s assets.
- Reviews the reserves for bad debt.
- Participate in corporate finance projects and programs and be responsible for implementing change locally.
- Develop and implement cost accounting methodology, work papers and monthly entries.
- Ensure proper controls and oversight for inventory, equipment, materials and labor.
- Manage month-end closing and other operational reports for the Leadership Team
- Analyze variances and communicate explanations to finance and operations management with recommended actions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA license preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience required with 5 years in a similar role
- Strong experience crafting custom reports
- Technical and analytical experience
- Extensive experience with MS Office Suite: Excel (including modeling/analysis, charts,
- pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint (including charts), Sage Intacct, bill.com, and Service Titan
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in multi-entity companies preferred.
- Ability to understand sophisticated systems and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to management and executives.
- Ability to prioritize and maintain workflow under tight conditions.
- Preferred - services related industry experience.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
