Avaliable Job Today We are an established integrator of Smart Lighting, Audio Visual solutions, security systems, home cinemas and structured cabling infrastructure to high-end residential sectors in London and the South East. We are looking for a senior home automation installer with experience in KNX and Control4 programming and installation to join our team.
You may have experience in panellised lighting, KNX heating and lighting, network cabling smart blind installation, cable terminations, CAT5 / 6 Cabling experience Patch panel installations, speakers, projector, audio visual, security alarms and cinema room installations.
This role will cover Greater London, Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Herts and you will be expected to 2nd fix as well program and commission systems. On occasion you may be required to carry out some 1st fix installations. We like all of our engineers to have a broad range of skills and be happy to help out other departments from time to time. The work hours are generally from 8:00 - 5:00 with a 1/2 an hour lunch break. Responsibilities and Duties-1st fixing AV cabling following architectural drawings/2nd fixing AV, lighting equipment
- Terminating data, coax, speaker outlets
- Building of racks to specification
- Hanging TV on wall
- Mounting projectors & cinema screens
- Lighting control keypads & touchscreens
- CCTV cameras
- Programming and commissioning of Control4 and KNX systems
- Liaising with clients, site managers & architects to meet project deadlines
- Working with end-clients to make the systems as simple as possible to use
- Reporting to your project manager with regular updates
Qualification And Skill
- Control4 Automation Programmer Certificate
- KNX Installation and programming knowledge
- Experience in other systems would be an advantage for this position
- Understanding of and ability to set up a home network.
- Assign IP addresses to devices
- Setup router with ISP
- Open & forward ports for certain services
- Ability to fault find & problem solve
- Be able to work by yourself or with others on a larger project
- Managing your time efficiently on site
