Job Title: Contracts Officer
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £33,007 - £36,770 per annum (pay award pending)
Closing Date: 12 noon on Friday 28th April
About the Role
The Contracts Officer joins Hanover on a permanent basis to ensure the provision of a cost-effective Asset Management service. The remit of the Contracts Officer covers all structural maintenance and facilities (including landscape maintenance) on each development.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and awarding of work
- Undertaking procurement and tendering exercises
- Project-manage delivery of awarded works
About You
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar or related role.
- Demonstrable ability to professionally diagnose the cause of building defects and specify remedial work.
- Experience of inspecting component condition and forecasting remain life.
- Experience of drawing up specifications, following tender procedures and writing reports.
- Relevant qualification in a construction or maintenance discipline, minimum level of Higher or National Diploma
Additionally, you’ll need to have the ability to:
- Proficiently use of IT and MS Office suite.
- Manage contractors, from day-to-day to major cyclical and other large scale repairs and refurbishment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including the ability to explain technical information to laypersons.
- Deal with the general public in a professional, courteous and supportive manner.
