Our client a leading manufacture in the defence industry have a great opportunity available for a Contracts Manager. A company that offers a complete end to end service from helping the customer to establish operational safety and escape requirements, including design, development, and qualification, to on-going support throughout the entire service life of the aircraft.
The role will join the Americas and Crashworthy team within the Commercial department. You will provide support to several nominated accounts, be responsible for all commercial activities assist in the decision-making process on customer transactions for new and existing customers.
Role Responsibilities
- Structure and negotiate new business and support in the bid process.
- Monitor and ensure the successful delivery of business meeting contractual terms.
- Support the business in its understanding of their contractual commitments are and if current activities comply.
- Share ways and approaches with the business to maintain compliance to the company's commercial standards and policy.
- Provide guidance, assistance and training to other members of the Commercial team.
- Construct service descriptions for new business, contribute to the definition of trading terms with customers and subcontractors to meet business needs.
- Judges acceptability of overall risk level of deal and mitigating options, helping the company devise sensible steps to address through appropriate contract terms or contract management, ensuring all known issues are discussed openly.
Ideally you will have:
- Background in a Commercial environment.
- Able to translate the impact on negotiated terms, have worked with deal structures, contract structures (T&Cs)
- People management skills.
- Good understanding of risk management, pricing, legal understanding.
- Worked in the manufacturing industry.
