About The Role

As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a new model of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff. By bringing together NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care, when they need it. It’s better for everyone.
As a Driver, you’ll chauffeur GPs and nurses to and from patients’ homes – typically when they’re unable to see their usual clinician. This is not an emergency service and you will need to follow all the normal rules of the road. It will be part of your role to ensure the safety of our clinicians and medical equipment, so you may be asked to escort them to the patient’s front door. You’ll also be expected to keep vehicles appropriately maintained, and at times you’ll need to communicate with the public, as well as the team back at base.
This is a contracted post where you will work regulars shifts on a weekly basis. Please see below for the rota pattern across a 3 week period we are looking for someone to fill:
Week 1
18:15-23:00 Thursday and Friday and 13:00-23:00 Saturday and Sunday
Week 2
08:00-13:00 Saturday and Sunday
Week 3
18:15-23:00 Monday to Wednesday
About You
What you will need:- Driving experience, with a full driving license (no more than three points), good map reading skills and knowledge of the local area.
- Good communication skills, both in person and by telephone.
- Basic IT skills for noting information such as itinerary checklists and time logs accurately.
