At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role
Supply Chain Department of HME (Honda Motor Europe, Ltd.) Motorcycle Division is responsible for ensuring the maximum satisfaction of Honda’s European customers on product availability by balancing between the Sales demand and the smooth Factory production & logistics operations.
This role will make a fundamental impact to Honda’s European motorcycle business as a centre to supply motorcycles by planning on the products supply to the markets while making sure maximum profitability both locally in Europe and worldwide.
The successful candidate will gain an excellent opportunity to obtain grounding in motorcycle supply chain within the matured and complex motorcycle markets as well as to manage a small team to coordinate all supply operations between factories and the markets.

Main Responsibilities
Overall
Deliver the following as well as managing the team as needed for the scope shown as below:
- Balance customer & sales requirements with Factory production & logistics constraints by matching orders from our branches & distributors with factories production plans.
- Anticipate, analyse, and apply countermeasures on supply problems such as carry over production and ship availability to achieve maximum sales with minimum sales stock and maximum production efficiency, still sustaining customer requirements.
- Ensure good communication between sales, factory, and logistics from order to delivery for our branches & distributors.
- Coordinate French Translation Label operation to comply with the regulation in French market.
- Accountable for the Business Plan Supply Chain Department KPI setting and consequent KPI achievement.
Fiscal Management Process
- Coordinate quarterly container lot-size & crate selection with Branch/Distributor for Thai & Vietnam factories
- Coordinate with HME-L (Honda Motor Europe – Logistics n.v.) Logistics department
- Shipping condition requirements for yearly shipping carrier tender process held by Honda Motor Japan Supply Chain Division
Monthly Supply Operation
- Prepare the following for the monthly operations.
- Receive and verify order guidelines from Honda Motor Japan, create HME’s guideline by including the requirements by Sales department and submit to Branches & Distributor Sales team
- Maintain/update master data and parameters based on Guidelines in PLS (Pan-European Logistics System), EPP (European Product Planning) system and ONO (One Niguri Operation) system
- Order & Production Allocation Management
- Collect, consolidate (including error/mistake handling), analyse, adjust, and submit orders from our branches & distributors to the factories
- Prepare presentation and manage/chair Sales & Production Meeting with factories
- Allocate production capacity plan supplied by factories to our branches and distributors with balancing requirements from branches and distributors by working closely with Sales department
- Coordinate type and colour fix of allocated production plan to branches & distributors
- Weekly and ad-hoc Supply Information management for branches & distributors (shipping information, branches stock, etc.)
- Supply Issue solving – day to day management of order change requests, production plan changes and logistics issue resolution
FTL (French Translation Label) Management – for French Market
FTL is a label on which any non-French language words written on the products are listed with French words which is required by French Government’s legislation to apply on all products sold in France.
- Obtain drawings of new models and coordinate FTL application tool creation with HME-L
- Manage FTL stock and procurement by ordering to HME-L Spare Parts division
Project Work
- Daily continuous improvements on operations
- Project work as necessary and process improvement work on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications, skills, and experience
Required
- Excellent numerical and logical analytics skills with very high level of accuracy - a logical thinker, with a methodical approach.
- Experience of presenting data analysis and information to stakeholders of all levels.
- People management experience including supporting, coaching and developing a team.
- Planning and organisation skills with the ability to develop solutions and take decisions for implementation.
- Negotiation and collaboration skills – to balance mutually beneficial and advantageous outcomes with Branches and Factories
- Advanced Excel level (lookups, pivots – must / Macro, power pivots – desirable)
- Supply chain planning knowledge and experience - Good understanding or experience on demand & supply planning, production & logistics processes.
- Self-starter, with ability to work on own initiative to prioritise tasks and projects in order to meet deadlines.
