The Contract Hire Business Development Manager is responsible for the management, focus and delivery of this important and increasing revenue stream.
Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing our current contract hire offering via data analysis including pricing, profiles, marketing, and competitor information. In addition, they will also be responsible for the creation of a successful renewal process that compliments the existing “Mazda Customer for Life” principles and growing the BCH business from a local perspective.
Responsibilities will include:
Increase business activity in relation to volume and profitability revenue targets through:
Key Relationships:
Work closely with Mazda Motors UK Fleet Operations team
Develop solid working relationships with key dealer decision makers and management
Participate fully in the activities of the wider Mazda Financial Services team, including projects and initiatives arising to ultimately aid the development of contract hire
Liaise with brand counterparts to ensure that joint opportunities are maximised and risks mitigated
Attend and participate in quarterly CH reviews as well as Pricing & RV analysis meetings
Liaise with the Marketing Department to ensure effective and compliant advertising
Dealer Sales Skills Management
Provide support to dealer sales teams to help improve related sales performance
Development and monitoring of KPIs within each dealership via regular interaction with MFS team
Support finance driven renewals processes and effective remarketing activities of end of contract cars
Sales & Account Management
Ensure dealer loyalty is controlled with recommended strategies developed to maximise sales volumes, whilst maintaining positive consumer outcomes
Be accountable for developing contract hire finance performance from the dealer network
Manage and support dealer prospecting / renewal sales activity
Develop consultative and valued relationships at all levels within Mazda, MFS and the dealer network
Support the development of CH at dealer point of sale level and national marketing campaigns
Help manage financial exposure via the close monitoring of dealership performance and oversight
Location
Mazda Motors UK are based in Dartford, Kent. The successful applicant will be required to travel and work within Dartford on a regular basis.
This role also includes national travel in conjunction with supporting the MFS team and dealer network.
What we’re looking for:
Self-assurance and competence to perform in an assigned territory
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Strong numerical, presentation and influencing skills
Excellent time management
Previous sales experience within the motor industry and Contract Hire, preferably from a Business Manager, Sales Manager or motor finance background
Sound knowledge of distribution channels, consumer legislation and experience in working within a regulated environment
Flexibility to travel to occasional ad-hoc meetings throughout the UK as required which may involve overnight stays

OTE around £55,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience.
