Contract Administrator (IT)

The Technology Services Division of Service New Brunswick is searching for an individual who would enjoy a meaningful and rewarding career in the support and advancement of IT Business Services. As an IT Contract Administrator, you will provide guidance and support in the delivery of IT contract administration services across all areas of the Government of New Brunswick. You will report to a Supervisor within the Business Services and Engagement Unit, and be supported by other dedicated team members with a focus on proactively managing the establishment and renewal of IT contracts.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Working collaboratively with the client to ensure contract arrangements meet the needs of the business and deliver maximum value for SNB
- Meeting with internal and external Stakeholders and providing advice when required
- Oversight of contracts for compliance and negotiating optimal value through cost avoidance and savings
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the IT vendor community in support of contract administration activities
- Initiating related procurement activities
- Maintaining an organized system of physical and digital records
- Collaborating with Service New Brunswick's back office functions in support of the procurement and payment functions associated with IT contracts
- Related duties may be assigned as necessary for operational requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Business Administration or related discipline and three (3) years of progressive experience in both procurement and finance related activities and processes.
Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Contract negotiation experience
- Contract management and Public procurement experience
- Understanding of the New Brunswick Procurement Act
- Software License Management experience, Knowledge of licensing modules
- Experience with software asset management
- Experience with forecasting budget
- Experience with the key concepts of financial management
- Experience in an IT industry and marketplace
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require limited flexibility in working hours, with occasional weekday evening or weekend work.
This position may require some travelling within the province therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick driver's license and have their own means of transportation.
Candidates will be requiredto undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $42,978-$68,718 annually - Pay Band 3 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
