Academic Services is part of the Directorate of Student and Academic Services and is responsible for a range of activities relating to student progression, administration, and quality assurance of the student experience. The team manages a range of student-related processes, including, registration, UKVI compliance as it relates to progression and attendance, timetabling of teaching, assessment, academic progression, and awards. Academic Services also supports School Academic Committees and Programme Committees, student discipline (academic and non-academic), academic appeals and student complaints for the University. Quality assurance processes include external examiners, programme information, programme modification and approval and subject review.
The University now seeks to appoint a Continuous Improvement Manager (Records and Systems)
Reporting to the Academic Services Manager you will have the opportunity to project manage a range of business/process improvement projects, delivering revised business processes which will be sustainable, innovative and will contribute to the operational effectiveness of Student and Academic Services and the University.
You will be required to identify where existing business rules and processes related to usage of the SITS student record system could be further developed; propose, implement and/or facilitate solutions ensuring appropriate updated documentation of procedures and processes.
You will contribute to the design of business improvement training materials and deliver training to the University community to build business improvement capability, and champion effective continuous improvement with demonstrable benefits to organisational effectiveness and efficiency
